Summary: The hotel is very conveniently located, within walking distance to the train station, grocery stores and a discount store. Make sure to walk to Rheinfelden, Switzerland, which is a very nice, underrated town. The breakfast at Hotel Danner was among the best of our 3-week European escapade. The staff at the front desk was excellent, especially the young man whose name I wish I remembered. He gave us very good advice about Basel. I definitely want to go back to Hotel Danner.

Summary: All in all very pleasant, breakfast buffet was nice and plenty choices. Only downsides are that the room walls are rather thin and depending on your neighbor, you may hear them clearly. The other small downsides are the missing slippers in the room, so you best bring your own. Location is great, just 5min walk to the Swiss border.

Summary: Great choice in the area to explore both sides of the border. It is much cheaper to stay in Germany than Switzerland. A ten minute walk to the Rheinfelden train station on the Swiss side where you can access all of Switzerland. Breakfast is very good, room is up to date and clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. Elevator is tiny! Several grocery stores nearby. Would like it better if the room to had a fridge. I've stayed here twice and would happily do so again.

Summary: Great place. Good breakfast. Buffet in the associated Chinese restaurant is nice and not expensive option. 15 min walk to Solo Uno on Swiss side of Rhein. Good dining option in Gambrinus.

Summary: This is a great little hotel. Affordable, convenient, clean. The bathrooms have been updated. The staff were friendly, check in was easy. We enjoyed the restaurant too.
